Privacy policy
What happens to the details you send us, and nothing else — this site has no accounts, no advertising and no cookies.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address and your message — plus, if you tick the box, the fact that you asked for updates. Nothing is collected from you anywhere else on this site.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use those details for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — or, where your message is not about working together, our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) in responding to people who contact us.
If you tick the updates box, we also use your email address to send you occasional updates about what we are building. The basis for that is your consent, Article 6(1)(a). Ticking it is entirely optional and your message reaches us either way. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing does not affect anything sent beforehand.
Who else sees it
Two service providers process data on our behalf, under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes:
- Formward
- Receives and delivers contact form submissions.
- Vercel
- Hosts this website and serves its pages.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your message is deleted from our form provider automatically after 30 days. If we carry the conversation on by email, that correspondence is kept for up to 24 months from your last message to us, then deleted. If your enquiry becomes a project, the correspondence is kept for as long as our accounting obligations require.
If you asked for updates, we keep your email address on that list until you unsubscribe.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless: it sets nothing on your device, does not track you between sites, and produces aggregate figures only — never a profile of you. This is why the site has no cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it, and you can ask for it in a portable format. Send your request to hello@nomatix.studio.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate, Andmekaitse Inspektsioon.
